The Live Story of a Product

FlairBuilder 2.0 is coming and it’s gonna be awesome!

by Cristian Pascu on July 6, 2010

Hello everyone,

I’m so… what should I say? Ashamed and excited in the same time. I’ve neglected the blog, that’s true, but for a good cause. I’m working hard on new version of FlairBuilder, a dramatically improved from UX perspective, and with lots and lots of new features. I will most probably take a week to inventor them all and start writing blog posts about each one. :-)

Even if I should have probably released more intermediary releases, adding features in smaller packs, I just wanted to make version 2.0 really worth of its number. It’s been more than a year since FlairBuilder’s first public release and it has to look and behave like a mature app from now on.

Back to work now! Fixing the last bugs, making the last changes. Internal testing right after, followed by a beta testing period. Probably a week or two of public beta testing. I’ll let you all know when it’s ready. ;-)

Cheers,
Cristian

Hey there again,

It has been a while since you last posted, but it was well worth the wait. I am always excited about a new release of any program. I must be honest, I haven’t been using Flairbuilder all that much lately because I didn’t want to get used to the old layout and then have to learn a new UI a few weeks later. I am looking forward to your new version 2.0 and I hope that the import from Balsamiq feature is polished, seeing how another program called Iplotz has implemented it in their program as well.

Thanks again, talk to you soon

will it be a free upgrade? I only bought this version a few weeks ago.

Very nice to hear the new version is coming out with improvements. I second Joe as well with the question if this will be a free upgrade?

Also, do you have a sign-up for the beta testing?

Thanks,
-pg

Hi there,

Yes, the upgrade will be free to everyone. This version will include the code that restricts updates past the one year license (you’ll still be able to use the app, though).

The beta will be public and you’ll be able to install it from a separate page.

Can’t wait! :)

Thanks Cristian.

I am very much looking forward to it, and since it is a free upgrade, even more so.

Looking forward to see which features made it into the next release. Hopefully the export to HTML5! ;-)
